Well-mannered Teen Enjoys Sports and Learning New Things

Handsome Janai is a well-mannered teen who loves English, sports and video games.
Janai is a handsome, well-mannered teen who enjoys learning new things about the world.  Like most teens his age, Janai loves playing video games and watching his favorite television programs.

Janai is in the eighth grade, and English is his favorite subject.  He needs educational support and encouragement in math and science, as these are Janai's least favorite subjects.  However, Janai does not lack when it comes to being a part of the social scene.  If there is an outdoor sports game going on, Janai will make sure he is counted in on one of the teams.

Janai continues to make progress despite his mild attention deficit disorder and his mild learning disorder.  The school system addresses Janai's learning issues with an individualized educational plan that sets up an equation for success through his educational journey.  His ADHD issues are managed under the care of a medical professional and medication management.

Despite the challenges that Janai has faced in his life as a result of neglect, loss, and grief, he maintains a positive outlook on life.  Janai is open to being able to have a family to call his own, but would like to maintain some form of contact with his 2 younger siblings who were recently adopted in Louisiana.

For additional information about Janai or other children in need of adoption, call the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services at 1 (800) 259-3428.  If you are interested in providing a safe and stable home for a child who needs one, please call today or visit www.dcfs.louisiana.gov.
